The popular Citizen Tsuyosa is the canvas for the artwork of the Tsuyosa Concept Collection. The artists at IFLW chose four cities that each tell different stories.
Osaka
The first of the four is Osaka, known as Japan’s nightlife capital. The dial features a purple and blue backdrop that mimics the city’s streets at night. In the foreground, a mysterious silhouette stands guard while a modern samurai girl emerges from the shadows. This watch combines the spirit of ancient Japanese warriors with the vibrant nightlife, characterized by bright neon colors. It creatively blends the cyberpunk atmosphere with Osaka's rich history.
Kyoto
The second timepiece illustrates traditional architecture from Kyoto, featuring one of the temples from the ancient capital, often regarded as the most beautiful city in Japan. While the first watch immerses you in action, this second watch significantly slows the pace, celebrating the serene beauty of Kyoto's landscape. The level of detail that the artists have incorporated is truly impressive.
Tokyo
The watch celebrating the current Japanese capital, Tokyo, depicts the small streets of the metropolis. The image captures the warmth of a Yokocho alley, with steam rising from ramen shops and lanterns softly illuminating food stalls. As a result, you get a complex vision of everyday life in Japan's largest city, focusing on the charm of traditional streets and the culinary traditions that are ubiquitous, juxtaposed against the modern mega city.
Hiroshima
The fourth and final watch honors the Itsukushima Shrine, a symbol of peace and resilience in Hiroshima. The image showcases the famous "floating" torii gate emerging from calm waters at sunrise.
